University Network of Internationalization Officers (RURI)

With the aim of connecting UNAM’s academic entities with one another and with the world, the Coordination Office for International Relations and Affairs (CRAI), in collaboration with DGECI, promoted the creation of the University Network of Internationalization Officers (RURI). Each academic entity appoints an internationalization officer who joins the network and takes on responsibilities related to promoting internationalization, strengthening academic cooperation, and encouraging student mobility and virtual exchange within their community. The network is coordinated by CRAI and managed by DGECI.

• Establish a qualified body of representatives from UNAM’s academic entities and units to strengthen internationalization policies and respond to cooperation requests from international institutions and organizations
• Identify international mobility and virtual exchange initiatives carried out by all UNAM entities
• Develop and implement internationalization strategies for the benefit of the university community
• Share best practices in internationalization actions

• Maintain a permanent link between their academic entity/department and CRAI (International Coordination Office)
• Serve as the official spokesperson for their entity on issues of internationalization
• Support their academic entity in international projects and actions within UNAM’s Institutional Development Program (PDI)

• Support and accompany student and academic mobility efforts, including virtual international exchanges
• Represent the interests of their entity in the signing and implementation of agreements with international institutions and organizations
• Monitor the actions derived from these agreements
• Collect and provide information about internationalization activities from their academic entity or department
