Structure

In recent years, UNAM has boosted its international and national projection through a comprehensive effort among different actors, benefiting the university community and global knowledge in academic, scientific, humanistic, and cultural areas.

In 2015, the Rector created a new organizational structure to plan, promote and coordinate the University's international strategy, giving rise to the International Head Office (CRAI) as part of the Secretariat for Institutional Development (SDI)

In this new structure, the Office for International Cooperation (DGECI),  the Teaching Centre for Foreigners (CEPE), the UNAM Headquarters Abroad, theNetwork of Macro Universities of Latin America and the Caribbean (Red Macro), the International University Headquarters Unit (UISU) and, later on, the Internationalization Responsibles University Network (RURI), were attached to the International Head Office.
